My parents love travelling and their most recent destination was Tallinn in Estonia. When I opened my birthday present I found something that they had discovered on their travels and brought back for me. It is half a metre of the most beautiful linen I’ve ever seen, from a shop called Hansa Lina. It is so thick and has a lovely natural texture to it. Plus it is printed with a gorgeous pattern of houses, trees and bicycles! What do you think I should use it for?
I would frame it as a picture because it is so lovely
That is beautiful!
It’s really beautiful! These kind of printed linen fabrics remind me of my early childhood in the GDR and of the things that my mother used to make for me and my brother, especially one large patchwork curtain with houses and tress, just like this fabric (but a bit more colorful).
How lovely that it brings back such fond memories for you!
Ooh lovely. Would be great to add your own colour to it, maybe embroider some of the houses etc? Maybe a pencil/makeup case or little bag?
O I love the idea of adding colour with some stitches! Thank you very much 🙂
I agree with Knitstitchsew, you could embroider sections of the material. It would look lovely hung in a hoop. Or maybe a little zip purse?!
I like that idea very much!
