How to rescue stained welly boots!

My Mum always says that wellies should be muddy and I wholeheartedly agree. But when Sprout grew out of her first pair of wellies, they were not just muddy but really stained too. I wanted to give them a clean before I packed them away and after some research I found the perfect method. This is what they looked like, before and after.

My magic ingredient was something I found in my kitchen cupboard, it was cheap and I didn’t have to use harsh chemicals either…bicarbonate of soda! I used about half a cup of soda and slowly mixed in a little water at a time to make a thick paste. Then I popped a boot in the sink and covered one side with the paste. Leave it for about 10 minutes, then use an old toothbrush to give it a good scrub. Rinse and admire!

I was amazed that nearly every single mark came off!
