Sprout loves a challenge and I’m always trying to think of new games to set up for her to do in the afternoons. I had seen a few animal rescue games where you wrap small toys in elastic bands and see if your toddler can free them! I decided to set this challenge because she loved the last rescue game we played. I used plastic animals and a selection of brightly coloured hairbands, which I thought were more interesting and kinder to small hands than elastic bands.
This game was so quick to set up and I really enjoyed tangling them up! When Sprout discovered the contents of the basket she shouted in delight and set to work straight away, without any direction from me. This will be another great rainy day game to come back to, maybe with different toys all wrapped up!
