We first discovered these books in the library. Sprout loves fish and underwater animals so the fish fingertrail book was the first book we borrowed. The fingertrail books are aimed at babies and toddlers, with lots of textures and little grooved trails to run their fingers along. These two books also have flaps to lift and lovely things to discover.
The play books are for slightly older children and have lots of lovely things to spot in each picture. The illustrations are bright and colourful and centre around the same animal characters.
Our favourite book of all was the garden play book. It lived on our kitchen floor for a couple of months and kept Sprout entertained for ten minutes at a time whilst I was cooking or tidying. She loved spotting all the animals and soon learnt to say “wheelbarrow”, “watering can” and “bird feeder”.
If you like the sound of these books and purchase one through the links in my post you are helping to support my blog as I get a small referral fee from Amazon. Thank you!
