Sprout makes : Animal footprints

When rain is forecast for the weekend, we make a plan for some indoor activities and they always involve crafting! Sprout always asks to do painting and loves picking out the colours, we end up with blobs of every colour on her plate, which she delicately touches and then mixes like crazy on her paper. This time Sprout’s animals joined in the fun!

We rolled out a big piece of paper and used blutack to hold it in place. We spread the paint quite thinly on the plate so that we could get good defined footprints. Hippo, horse, zebra and a couple of dinosaurs helped us print our way to a masterpiece!

These dinosaurs took a break from painting to have a little kiss! We used Crayola Washable Paint, which has lovely bright colours and wipes off the table and floor a treat. Sprout was so enthralled with this that we sat here for at least an hour, happily printing and chatting away. Afterwards we gave her animals a bath on the kitchen floor, with lots of bubbles for added fun.
