Blooming Marvellous : A Knitted Garden!

I hopped on the ferry this morning and went to visit the Blooming Marvellous exhibition at the Gosport Gallery! I’ve seen quite a few knitted installations but this is by far the best. The work started in a gallery in Bournemouth and is a touring show, which is added to in each new venue. There have been over 2,500 contributors to this intergenerational community knitted garden! The knitters and crocheters have been so imaginative, there is a potting shed, a pond, a gigantic picnic, a beehive and so much more besides! The show runs until the 17th of May and entry is free.

  1. Hi Georgina.
I have just taken over as curator of the Knitted Garden and loved reading your blog post. So glad you liked the exhibition and we are hoping to bring it to the Isle Of Wight and Hampshire again very soon. Please like my blog and Facebook pages so I can keep you in touch with our travels!
Thanks again for the smashing review.
