I have decided that the time has come to conquer knitting in the round! Emma gave me a lovely pattern that she has used before to knit Matt some socks. They are tube socks, knitted on three needles in a rib pattern. They only have shaping at the toe, because the ribbing moulds around your foot and they are really comfy to wear. I found it a bit tricky to get started because I’m using 2.5mm needles and my tension is quite tight. This is my fourth attempt and I think I’ve got the hang of it – wish me luck!
Ooh good luck! I still get ladders down where the needles meet π
O crumbs I didn’t realise they existed! Hopefully the rib will hide any imperfections!

Good luck with it! I try to make sure I knit extra tight when switching needles.
Good tip – thank you!
Thats what i do as well, so long as you pull it tight you shouldn’t get ladders π
It hasn’t grown much but I’m trying!
Good luck! It took me multiple attempts to cope with manipulating 4 needles all at once, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes pretty easy. It’s a bit like riding a bike.
I like the yarn you’re using, by the way π
Thank you! The wool is Sirdar Click – it comes in a great range of tweedy colours π
you have inspired me, I’m now tempted to resume my last year’s (yet unfinished) project.
Good luck

Go for it Mads!
Good luck! I find it really tricky but managed to get over my DPN somewhat this year. Knitted one sock (no matching pair) last year as was so traumatised by using 5n needles! Must try socks again
I’ve only knitted a few rows of one sock so far, I must soldier on!
