Matt and I have posted our Save the Date cards! We designed and made them ourselves as the next part of our handmade wedding preparations. We used an ink pad to print our thumb prints and then Matt did something clever in Photoshop to add colours and overlap them to make a heart! He also had the great idea of including a sticker for the recipient to pop on their calendar to remind them of the date. There are even stickers with our heart on to seal the envelope. I love that our save the date cards reflect the things that we love, typography, design, sewing and above all, making something together.
Very cute idea π
Thank you Paula! We make a good creative team π
Beautiful π I can’t stop looking at mine, and the sticker is already in my diary! If this is just the save the date cards I cannot wait to see what else you have up your sleeves! xxx
Thank you Lucy … I was working on something else for the wedding this morning!
Lovely idea to use you thumb prints, I can’t wait to see what your invitation’s look like!
We are going to use the same sort of design for our invitations, but they will be even better because we are going to print them on our letterpress!
Very cute I love them. Nice simple and elegant. Congratulations.
Thank you!
love the thumb print idea!
Thank you! The blue print is mine and the grey one is Matt’s.
I so need to do my ‘save the date cards’. But that means agreeing to a guest list. I sense trouble ahead!
It can be tricky! We are keeping our wedding small – 40 guests!
