This afternoon I taught some lovely ladies how to stitch paper pieced patchwork at a workshop at Make. They got to pick from a gorgeous selection of fabrics and were soon well on their way, deciding which colours to stitch together. I took along the biggest panel in my heirloom quilt, some hexagon flowers and several copies of Mollie Makes that featured projects that used the same technique for inspiration. After we had enjoyed some tea and cake and the ladies had finished their designs they each took home a goodie bag with more templates, instructions, pins and their fabrics!
So pretty, it’s always nice to have a long term project like this on the go even if it is never ending! Your workshops look great, but unfortunately I don’t live anywhere near Portsmouth 😦
Thank you for your lovely comment! Well I write lots of tutorials too so maybe you will find something there that you like 🙂 There are more patchwork tutorials on their way…
