Happy Birthday Nikki!

I posted earlier this month about my first make from the newest addition to my ever expanding library of sewing books, 101 Fabric by Fabric Ways to Sew a Metre. Before the month is even finished I have made my second, a sweet little bag with a big pocket for Nikki’s birthday. I picked out some lovely blue and cream striped fabric that I bought on one of my pilgrimages to The Eternal Maker and teamed it with a bright yellow gingham for lining. As with my previous project, I found the pattern easy to follow and I was really pleased with the result. I love the style of this bag and will definitely be making one for myself, it is the perfect size for lunch and a book!

The completed bag.
The pocket is plenty big enough to hide a mini monster in!
