I was so pleased to be asked by Making Space to run a series of workshops to make bunting for the launch of The Boat Project in May this year. The boat itself has been built by a team of awesome people, from donations of objects that were sent in by the general public. The items had to be wooden and they had to have a story or a memory attached to them. Check out the full story of its creation here. They need bunting to decorate the launch of this amazing art project and I will be running four sessions for you to come along and make some flags! To be in keeping with The Boat Project, we would love the bunting to be made from fabric that has a memory attached to it. Old curtains and clothes are both good candidates, as are oddments left over from a past project. So have a dig through your fabric stash, take a peek at the poster below for dates and more information on the workshops and I hope to see you there!
Sounds like a good project to be involved in miss Giles xxxx
