Stitch by stitch

I have recently started a project which I know will take many years to complete. It is a patchwork blanket…but sewn entirely by hand in the traditional way with cardboard hexagonal templates. I wanted to make something that uses all my favourite fabrics and has love in literally every stitch. My Mum started one when she was young and she is still stitching! I want it to be a treasured family possession and I love that I can add more favourite fabrics to it over the years. I’m being so good and even washing all the fabrics first to ensure it’s longevity. Here are some photos of me stitching away whilst on the train. I can’t get on a train without sewing or knitting in my bag!
